I. WHAT WE OFFER - Competitive salary - Positive international working environment - Attractive career development perspective - Opportunity to travel abroad for business - Place of Work: mainly at VSIP 1 in Binh Duong province, business trips to Tien Giang Factory - In this position you will report directly to the Site Operation Head Vietnam II. WHAT YOU WILL DO General responsibilities - Control and coordinate the activities in the Quality Department, which consists of quality management system, food safety, quality control and HSE, as well as supporting activities for compliance to the halal system - Build, implement and ensure maintenance of local quality and food safety systems of the materials, production processes and finished products. Solve problems regarding quality and food safety. - Build standards; validate and verify food safety in investment projects which includes renovation of infrastructure and upgrading of equipment. - Handle customers' complaints by investigating the cause and installing corrective and preventive actions to improve quality. Main responsibilities 1. Organize, control and coordinate activities in the Quality department - Build organizational chart, JD, assign tasks and supervise the staff so that the work can be done effectively. - Ensure complexities to be managed are supported by equivalent staff responsibilities and capabilities - Ensure healthy talent pipeline in terms of performance and potential - Set and monitor targets, assess performance and talent. Implement mitigating actions - Provide functional leadership to regular performance reviews, succession planning and talent assessment / development planning of site Quality team as well as training facilitation - Control documents and records relating to quality in the Company - Control budget and assets of the Quality Dept. 2. Organize the controls to ensure that the quality of incoming materials and storage of materials meets the defined requirements. - Cooperate with R&D to build and update standards of raw materials. - Organize the inspection and evaluation of quality of materials before goods receipt. Deal with issues of material quality. - Build and implement the control of material storage condition. - Cooperate with Warehouse to conduct the periodic quality evaluation of material in stock. - Monitor the quality of vendors, prepare plans and conduct periodic evaluation. Control the corrective and preventive action of the vendors. 3. Organize quality control, food hygiene and safety of each production stage and finished products. - Cooperate with R&D to build and update the plan of quality control - Conduct the inspection and evaluation of quality of intermediates, process parameters of each stage of production and finished products. - Resolve issues relating to quality, food hygiene and safety during production. - Maintain record of process and finished product control. 4. Build and maintain the effectiveness and the continuous improvement of quality management system, food safety and halal system. - Establish and control the entire system of quality control and food safety in the whole plant. - Train on knowledge of quality control, food safety and hygiene for employees in the factory. - Evaluate the compliance of quality control system. Supervise the activities in quality improvement and food safety. - Manage external party audits including the follow up on corrective and preventive actions. - Coordinate and handle customers' complaints. 5. Establish and implement GMP and hygiene standards in the factory. - Establish the GMP and hygiene training for the employees. - Supervise the compliance of the regulation in production. - Work with contractors, suppliers of equipment and construction of infrastructure regarding requirements for hygienic engineering design. - Review and approve the improvement in equipment, infrastructure in the factory, new equipment and investment projects to ensure that the standards of food safety and hygiene are adhered to. 6. Maintain the compliance of legal food safety regulation in the factory. - Foster site implementation and audit compliance with internal and external standards (such as local Food Safety regulations, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, RSPO, Halal) - Maintain the filing and control of legal records of incoming materials and products according to legal regulations. - Ensure that periodic testing for product declaration according to regulations requirements. - Provide legal documents relating to product quality to governmental inspection cadres and overseas customers. 7. Develop Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for all product and periodically update their changes over time; Examine their shelf-life experiments; Carry out physical and chemical tests of quality at the site of the manufacturing shop-floor; Standardize ergonomical activities; Train shop-floor workers in Quality perceptions; Building Quality Culture for the entire Company; Directly guide and train operators to handle the resolution for all nonconformities; Develop plan and training process to develop in process QC into the process lines. 8. Expedite and Lead all other related Departments’ Heads in Daily Gemba Walk activities with the aim for developing an OPL / quarter / person to improve Working environment Construct the Gemba Walk Culture in the entire company. 9. Build a database of quality items and report weekly / monthly to the direct superior. 10. Set up, maintain and improve continuously HSE system, to meet requirements of local law and corporate standard. - Ensure maintenance of local HSE system in alignment with global policies.


III. WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT Knowledge: Necessary knowledge to perform the tasks (example: knowledge of the field, related law, culture, customs, etc.) - Command of production procedures and of products. - Command of quality management standards such as ISO, HACCP, BRC - Command of quality control tools: 5S, 7 Tools, Kaizen - Command of laws relating to food quality and food safety. Professional skills: Specific skills to perform the tasks (skills that are normally used or directly support for the good performance of the job) - Solving conflicts and disputes. - Communication, presentation, persuasion. - Organize and chair meetings. - Analyze and identify problems scientifically, 8D Soft skills: General or basic skills for effective work, necessary skills for effective development - Computer: Proficiency in office computing - Foreign language: Communicative English - Team leading - Administration and execution. - Report preparation Education: Education and professional qualification or vocational skill required - University degree in Food chemistry, Biotechnology, or industries relating to food processing Experience: Experience in the profession with clear minimum experience in each specific field. - Overall work experience minimum 7 years. Function related experience of minimum 5 years of which at least 2 years in equivalent position. - Experience in quality control in factory with more than 500 workers. - Experience in working with customers and business partners.
