• Understands and adheres to all Local, Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. • Custodian of the Plant monthly revenue submission working in conjunction with the Commercial Department. • Manages the facility to meet or exceed daily production goals within permissible legal limits, employing sound business principles and in accordance with all established Policies and Procedures. • Maximizes Plant revenue opportunities through effective communications with EVNNLDC Maintenance Team and active coordination with the Plant Technical teams. • Devises and implements a works power cost saving plan through optimization of equipment operations. • Effective equipment breakdown management through effective use of the Plant Reliability based programs, ensuring relevant resources, (people, parts and services), are expeditiously mobilized. • Custodian of the Plant Heat Rate program, providing the driving force and expert scrutiny of the Plant Operational Key Performance Indices. • Effectively plan the plant maintenance outages in full cooperation of the plant maintenance and technical teams ensuring preparation and planning stages are fully optimized. • Completes technical reviews of plant equipment and systems, ensuring suitability, optimization of performance and maximizing of efficiency. • Assures that plant has adequate fuel supplies at all times based on Power Purchase Agreements and Fuel Supply Agreement(s) • Provides support to the EVP/Plan General Manger during 3rd Party stakeholder visits and Audits.JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is required. • With equivalent of ten (10) years operational and maintenance supervision is required. • Strong and solid power generation experience, preferably in a coal fired power plant. • Advance knowledge of electric power generating plant equipment, operations, and maintenance. • Well versed in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method. • Advance knowledge in writing straight-forward materials such as progress reports, procedures, or letters. • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for frequent interactions with department managers, supervisors, employees, outside vendors and regulatory agencies. • Require the ability to supervise and review a team of people and requires the ability to lead, motivate and delegate work. • Good interpersonal, communication and motivational skills with a flexible, enthusiastic, and committed attitude to work. • Good working knowledge in using MS Office including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. MS Project is an advantage but not required. • Fluent to comprehend, speak, read and write English. • Logical and well organized with the ability to prioritize.
