Senior Maintenance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB PURPOSE: Provide leadership and supervision in the project engineering team and facilities maintenance team in support of the engineering department and company goals. Develop personnel, processes and procedures, and provide the necessary technical expertise to complete construction and facility improvement projects; safely, on time, as specified, and under budget. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist the Plant Engineering Director in managing the operation and maintenance of critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and ancillary systems such generators, air compressors, etc. 2. Manage the customer relationship and act as a primary point-of-contact for all machine-related issues, including, but not limited to preventive maintenance schedules, down time and issues. 3. Ensure the schedules of repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment are properly executed by section maintenance managers. 4. Ensure the maintenance program are implemented in conjunction with all section maintenance managers 5. Assist in developing new plans and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials. 6. Complete the list of critical spare parts submitted by all section managers on all machines, equipment and machinery for lubrication. 7. Ensure all section maintenance managers complete maintenance reports, such as time and production records, inventories, and test results. 8. Assist the Plant Engineering Director in overseeing day-to-day maintenance support and operations section and review results from PM inspections and provide guidance addressing issue. 9. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as employment, performance evaluations, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. 10. Manage oversight from overall PM inspections and provide guidance on how to address issues with the section managers. 11. Perform Machine performance and analysis and recommend for opportunities. 12. Assist with managing client relationship and growing the business at assigned site. 13. Assist and plan with clients on maintenance issues and resolutions and attend meetings. 14. Assist the Plant Engineering Director in managing site safety and environmental compliance. 15. Assist the Plant Engineering Director in performing resource planning, cost estimation, and budget development 16. Assist in managing the Maintenance budget. 17. In the absence of the Plant Engineering Director, assume a leadership role with limited authority. 18. Assist site-tours with other EHS and Operation departments for machine audits and inspections. 19. Review request of materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts for work activities. 20. Assigns workers to perform activities, such as service appliances, repair and maintain vehicles, and install machinery and equipment. 21. Train workers in methods, procedures, and use of equipment and work aid, such as blueprints, hand tools, and test equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Education - BS degree in electrical, mechanical or any related technical field of study or equivalent experience required. Related technical courses, vendor training, and company specific courses desirable. 2. Experience - 2 or more years of maintenance management level experience required - Hands-on mechanical, electrical, and electronic experience required - Experience utilizing computerized maintenance systems required 3. Age: 35-40 years old 4. Knowledge of: - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. 5.
