Supply Chain and Warehouse Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities: • Lead supply chain activities for Santen in Vietnam and other “direct-sales-markets / MTO markets • Day to day control of local supply operations, inventory management, distributor management, FIE warehouse operations to ensure required customer service levels • Govern S&OP processes for relevant markets • Supply readiness to meet new product launches • Develop and implement local supply chain strategies, leader tender process (RFQ) with cross-functional teams, to ensure optimal distribution set-up on country level • Support inbound shipments with logistics service providers, 3PL/4PL and distributors • Distributor management • Management reports and KPIs reporting • Create SOP and Working Instructions to implement robust, transparent, and efficient chain processes & product flow • Lead & manage cross functional project teams as needed, to ensure all local projects (e.g. NPI, distributor change etc.) are successfully completed on time, as per business requirements • Develop and own local SCM budget process (country SCM & FIE warehouse) • Manage the operations at the local FIE warehouse in Vietnam, ensuring required customer service level matches business expectations • Support implementation of NPP (Name Patient Programs) for Santen products in local markets, working closely with Medical Affairs and CFU team • Key user for Global Planning system (GSP) Demand & Supply planning • Lead the forecasting process which includes the integration of historical sales trends, researching of demand drivers (competitive responses, trend, substitution effects, etc). • Development of Statistical forecast models and incorporating marketing assumptions to develop a rolling 36 month forecast. • Interface with Marketing and Sales teams to incorporate market insights into the forecast. • Lead monthly Demand Planning consensus meeting with Business unit lead, Sales & Marketing and Finance to ensure clear communication regarding forecast, forecast variances and changes. Also ensure updated forecast assumptions are reflected in the demand plan. • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, distributors, • Supply Chain and finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. • Monitor the impact of promotions, competitor activity and other events on sales. • Interface and communicate with Supply Planning team on forecast changes. Work with supply teams or production planners to understand supply constraints, variations and impact on demand. • Lead Process improvement initiatives within Demand Planning including best practices sharing to improve forecast accuracy • Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems. • Measure Forecast Accuracy and determine Root Causes behind forecast variances as well as communicate and take corrective action. • Develop, Monitor and communicate reports on significant variances between sales forecasts, budgets and business plans to Business unit and Supply Chain organization, while driving continuous improvement with regional partners and stakeholders. • Ensure demand forecast is shared / received in the format, level of detail, and timing required by all customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptions. Warehouse Operations (FIE Warehouse) • Develop & implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Work Instructions (WI) to establish end-2-end operational process for FIE warehouse • Ensure SOP / WI are being maintained and updated, understand the importance in adopting proper change control process to align with Santen quality standards • Manage warehouse related KPI (e.g. Inventory Management, Productivity, Pick & Pack speed, throughput etc.) • Manage Inbound & Outbound operations including freight bill payment and logistics costs • Develop warehouse staff working plan • Ensure compliance to quality & regulatory requirements to operate FIE warehouse • Ensure optimized productivity of warehouse FTE (inhouse & outsourced) • Ensure monthly reporting on data in full accuracy (inventory closing balance, costs, productivity, working capital / inventory holding costs, constraints etc.) • Coordinate with Regional SCM team the relevant logistics and inventory constraints • Report defects, damages and non-conformance found on products and/or materials to line- manager • Organize frequent stock counts to ensure full inventory accuracy at all time • Support development of Santen global ERP system for FIE warehouse part, ensure interim outsourced ERP system is full implemented to operate the FIE warehouse • Control FIE warehouse quarantine inventory to zero risk of holding goods to be supplied to the market • Establish rolling forecasting process for FIE warehouse, develop material resource plan (MRP) and coordinate with Regional SCM and relevant functions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain of Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. • More than 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management in the Healthcare business. • More than 5 years of experience in Warehouse Management (any industry). • More than 5 years of experience in a leadership position. • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory, Legal, Quality and Financial dimensions and linkages to and with the Planning organization. • Knowledge and experience on the entire supply chain management life cycle • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical products, medical devices and/or OTC and general manufacturing processes. • Knowledge and experience in the Forecasting, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics & Distribution, Warehouse and Project management is highly desirable. • Experience in leading the Sales and Operations planning process • Skills in demand planning tool and ERP/MRP system. • Experience using word processing, flowchart, presentation, spreadsheet, and project management software at a demonstrated intermediate level. • Strong understanding and knowledge of international business and pharmaceutical cGMP and GDP regulations. • APICS Certification (CSCP or CPIM) is a plus • Ability to travel at least 10% Personal attributes • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, written and verbal communication and • presentation skills to all levels • Persistent, detailed and goal oriented • Ability to work independently, partner effectively with other functions in Vietnam and/or Asia • Ability to successfully collaborate with broader team in International Environment • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills • Fluent in English or a second other Asian language preferably • Experience in Multi National Company preferred
